Nicolette & Connor

Like many good love stories, Nicolette and Connor's began long before either of them realized it.

 

They first met at Central Cabarrus High School, where they shared mutual friends and occasionally found themselves at the same events and gatherings. They knew of each other, but they were never more than familiar faces in the crowd.

 

It wasn't until college at UNC Charlotte that everything changed.

 

As two of the few people they knew living on campus, they naturally started spending more time together. What began as occasional lunches between classes soon became library study sessions, walks across campus, and plenty of late-night Cook Out runs. Somewhere between all the everyday moments, a friendship quietly began to grow.

Neither of them can tell you exactly when that friendship became something more. There wasn't a grand first date or a single moment when everything suddenly changed. Instead, it happened the way the best things often do: slowly, naturally, and without either of them realizing it at first.

​

The person they wanted to study with became the person they wanted to spend every day with. The friend they could always count on became the person they couldn't imagine life without.

Over the years, they've filled their lives with adventures both big and small. Whether they're spending time with their dog, Nellie, trying a new restaurant, traveling somewhere new, or simply enjoying a quiet day together, they've learned that their favorite memories are the ones they share together.

That love of adventure eventually led them all the way to Lapland, Finland.

On a snowy winter evening, surrounded by a landscape that felt straight out of a dream, Connor asked Nicolette to marry him. After she said yes, the two celebrated with a cozy Finnish dinner, champagne, and even the faintest glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.

​

Now, after years of friendship, love, and countless memories together, they're excited to begin their greatest adventure yet.
